Subject: Re: Sasha
Hi Again Fredericka
Had to pass along some recent pics from Sasha's puppy school
graduation with the kids, our camping trip to Turkey Run (in
Indiana) and of course...Halloween.
She is doing FABULOUS and is getting ready to start obedience
school tomorrow night.

Hi again Lucy -
Sasha is doing great! Although, she is quite a chewer!! Any
suggestions?? We have tried the kong (with peanut butter and
small biscuits inside), various chew toys, ice cubes and even
given her some rawhide bones( while she is right with us) which
she seemed to originally enjoy, but has lost interest in now.
This is probably normal, I just wish I could find something to
help her. I attached a few pics, the kids adore her and she has
been a super addition to the family!! More soon.....Janice

Lucy - yes, she is
eating very well and slept pretty well last night too. She woke
up about 12:30 - went out and did both, went right back into crate
until 5:30 and then went potty then too. I am figuring her out a
little better now - and able to distinguish between just "explore"
smelling and needing to "go" smelling. She likes the Kong, but as
soon as the peanut butter runs out, looses interest - also been
using ice cubes. I can't imagine having a litter full!! She is so
well behaved, but just needs constant supervision. Our other dog
is doing surprisingly well with her too!! They are both asleep
around the kitchen table right now. She is also doing well on the
leash and walking next to us. The kids love her so much and
really enjoy their "own" (bonding/play) time that I am giving each
of them with her every day. I will have Rodger download some pics
from our camera soon - he always takes care of that and I'm not
sure how to do it, but we will send some soon! Janice

Hi Lucy - just wanted
to let you know that Sasha did great driving home yesterday. She
sat on my lap almost all the way. She had a great night - slept
for 7 1/2 hours in her crate - not one whine or whimper - I was so
surprised!! We just got back from the vet and they all told me
how impressed they were by her. They all fell in love with her
too!! She was just super and has such a gentle demeanor!! Great
check up - she goes back next week for shots. The kids are giving
her tons of love and attention, she is keeping us hopping though.
I am going today to find a jolly ball and the vet recommended a
large blue Kong?? He said that should be good for teething as
well...any opinion about that??
Thank you again for all of your help/advice yesterday - it was
wonderful to meet you and we are so happy with our new addition to
our family. I will try to get some pics out soon, between the
kids (being so excited and wanting to do everything with her) and
Sasha, I am worn out! She is sleeping right now, so will try to
catch up on a few things. It feels just like it did when we
brought each new baby home from the hospital!! We hope to start
puppy classes soon too. Will sent another update soon, just
wanted to let you know she is doing better than we had ever
imagined!!
Thanks!! Janice
