Subject: Samson E update
Happy New Years!
Just an update to let you know that our Samson (Gideon x Robin) is
now 77 pounds, measuring 24 inches to his shoulders. He will be 5
months tomorrow, and is absolutely wonderful. He brings us much joy,
and loves his adoptive family.. He never seems to be too tired for
hugs or kisses!
He goes out on daily walks, and is such a handsome and gentle pup.
Many of the neighborhood dogs and their families stop and admire his
beauty and his size!
Today he got another shower, as he always wants to get in water. He
prances around and loves to be pampered..even enjoys being
blow-dried.

Greetings Lucy, Bob and Fredericka,
Happy Holidays from our Family!
We have been very busy here at our home, especially watching
our Samson GROW.. He is an amazing, sweet and gentle pup.. and
seems to be growing right in front of our eyes! Today we
weighed him, (as we do each Wednesday) he is now 17 weeks old,
and weighed in at 64 pounds. The vet saw him yesterday and
said he was just gorgeous.. We have taught him to sit, stay,
and lay down. He is doing very well with leash walking, and
responds to the phrase 'leave it', since he likes to
'walk' the girls around by their shirt or jacket sleeves, or
their bath robe ties!
He still loves his chair, although, he can only put his rump
into the chair.. or just his head, and the rest of him hangs
off onto the floor, or over the back!
We also found out he loves the bath tub.. each time the girls
get into the bath tub, he sits there with his paws on the side
of the tub, and then stands, like he just cant wait to get in
with them. So yesterday, we gave him his first shower, and I
have to saw he enjoyed that very much! We often find him
laying in the shower stall on the tiles, licking the water
after the shower has been used. He definitely likes water.
Potty training has been a little slow, we have our good days,
and our not so good days.. he does not want to use the spot we
have chosen for him to do his business, and wants to wander
around the yard more often than not. We have also put a bell
on the doors leading out into the back yard. We have been
using treats to get him to let us know when he would like to
go outside. He has already shown us that he likes that idea,
and really enjoys getting a treat for asking!

Samson chose Alyssa's chair on his own the morning after we
brought him home. He continues to sit in the chair, although now
that he is rapidly 'growing', does not realize he is 'out' growing
it instead! It will be interesting to see how long he will try to
sit in his chair! It's kind of like 'Goldylocks and the three
bears'!!

Fredericka and Lucy We took this photo this morning while our 10
week old Samson (Gideon x Robin) was watching 'Let's Make A Deal'!
It was hysterical, I almost fell over laughing!
