Flying W Farms Baron Von Black Knight

Hi Fredericka

BARON VON BLACK KNIGHT IGGHR#368 (born May 11, 2011)

I am attaching a photo . This was the first time I rode him before deciding to buy him. He is very special - kind, honest and forgiving under saddle . He has a sense of humour. Of course I have only just begun to get to know him but I adore him already.

I am 63… been riding since I was 7. Last year I was on my young horse (5 at the time) in an indoor ring when some ice came whooshing off the roof. He took off like a shot at breakneck speed - got to the wall, pivoted and spooked again in the corner and kept going. I did not. Hit the wall doing around 30 mph and broke 8 bones in my pelvis femur hip ribs etc. plus a brain bleed that nearly sent me to heaven. Before that I hadn’t come off a horse in 27 years and I think I landed standing up lol. Now a year later I was ready to get going again but this time I said temperament has to be first. I found Baron von Black Knight and guess what happened the second time I rode him? Yup. Ice came whooshing off the roof right next to him. He put his head up and then just stopped and sort of looked at me from the corner of his eye to say “what do you want me to do?” I figured that was my sign. I made an offer that day.

I would love to stay in touch with you and keep you apprised of our journey. There is another of your horses on the barn I’m keeping him at - princess? I haven’t met her yet but am looking foreword to it.

Thank you for breeding such a lovely horse!!

Pictures to follow - there’s also a head shot of him with his current trainer Diane.

Jeannie
