Dear Lucy and Fredericka,

Here is a new picture of Chester on his 5th birthday. He is doing really well. He just got a new little brother a 9 week puppy named Romie. We are up to 4 dogs again. Chester is feeling good, very active and spry, he is almost as agile as the Dobie. Hope all is well with you. We are very happy with our Flying W Farm American Mastiff and wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Here are some pictures of Chester on his 2nd birthday. He only weighs 167 I thought he would weigh more than that looking at him. He is tall but not as bulky as our English Mastiffs. He is very agile and athletic. There is another picture attached of Chester's new brother. We just got a 16 month old Doberman. As you can see in the picture our old Doberman (Nick 9 yrs which we adopted right before we got Chester) is not too thrilled with the new addition. Chester LOVES him someone he can play with. It's like having two teenage boys in the house. We only got Max 2 weeks ago so they haven't settled in yet. I would like a dollar for every time I have said "settle down" and " no running in the house".

Chester is a good boy. Everyone who meets him loves him. Our friends own a pet store (food, supplies, grooming and training only) they hosted a birthday party for him on Saturday. I made a doggie BD cake and cupcakes for the humans with Scobby snacks on top. We had a few of our friends come with their dogs. We had a English Mastiff, American Mastiff, Great Dane, Doberman, Rottweiler, pointer mix, pug and Jack Russell. It was fun and no arguments between all those dogs in 1 room.

Chester has been very healthy. He enjoys his life on the farm. He is still so playful like a giant puppy. Thanks again for the great dog. We always tell people where they can get one when they admire Chester.

Dear Lucy and Fredericka,

Here are a couple new pictures of Chester on his 1 yr birthday. I can't believe he's a year old already. I have also included a few that we took right after we got him at 9 weeks. He has grown into a very handsome and well behaved boy. He is turning into a big momma's boy too which is just fine by me. I now have my big baby and little baby to keep me company wherever I go. I just wanted to let you know you can use our pictures and letters for anything you want in advertising or reference. I want to let you know I would gladly talk to anyone who wants to discuss this breed vs the English Mastiff since I have now had both. I have to say Chester is by far the smartest and easiest trained and has just a nice of a disposition as any of my previous Mastiffs. Chester is also the perfect watch dog. He is constantly looking out the windows (our family room, dining room and kitchen have windows looking out 3 sides of the house) and only barks if he sees something out there such as a car pulling up, a strange dog, or deer (he doesn't care about squirrels, cats, birds). He barks when someone comes to the door but is friendly if we welcome someone in. He is the perfect combination of watchfulness and friendliness. I couldn't ask for a nicer dog everyone loves him from the pet store to the vet's office. He gets along with every dog he's met as well as cats and barnyard animals. We are still working on his "bull in the china shop tendencies" but I have found that comes with maturity and teaching him to respect personal space. He is a GREAT dog and we LOVE him. I have to add he really does have a much drier mouth. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much in the drier mouth area but since we've had three Mastiffs previously I know what you sign up for as far as slobbers go. Chester is the neatest drinker. He drinks like my Dobermans do, very daintily and does not leave a puddle as he walks away from the bowl. I now believe it since I've seen it. Take care and thanks for a great dog.
